Before we detail the AB Handshake solution and how the technology works, we're excited to share with you some of the milestones that lead to this historic moment for both the company and the history of the telecom industry.
The first steps on this journey were taken over 20 years ago.
Here's how it all unfolded:
- 2001 - DEVELOPING CORE EXPERTISE
Boston-based global transit carrier of international phone calls, LANCK Telecom, is founded. Their mission is to run high-quality telecommunications services across the globe.
Today, they are joined by more than 1,500+ partners in 190+ countries around the globe and have developed a presence in the main interconnecting centers of North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
- 2013 - ENTERING THE FRAUD MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY
develops a Fraud Management System (FMS)
- a deep-learning telecom fraud detection and prevention service created for wholesale and retail operators to protect their networks from fraudulent activity.
Today, it protects 80+ partners worldwide, including 20+ Tier 1 partners, saving them over $5 million monthly.
- 2016 - RETHINKING WHAT IS POSSIBLE
While working on the statistical and AI-based FMS, the technology division invents the AB Handshake call validation solution that addresses fraud prevention on a new level. The road to an ultimate telecom prevention solution has begun.
- 2020 - ESTABLISHING INDEPENDENT COMPANY
An independent US entity, AB Handshake Corporation, is established as a dedicated worldwide provider of the AB Handshake service, and is ready to provide its solution to the world.
- 2020 (NOVEMBER) - MAKING PARTNERS
AB Handshake starts its first integration with a partner - Cataleya - a communications software and CPaaS company.
- 2020 (DECEMBER) - MAKING HISTORY
AB Handshake completes its first full integration with a client.
Exceptional results set the stage for further integration.
- 2021 (FEBRUARY) - SHAPING THE FUTURE
AB Handshake joins the GSMA
- an industry organisation composed of 750 members representing the interests of mobile network operators around the globe.
AB Handshake's technology is now shaping the future of mobile communications and expanding opportunities for the whole industry.
- 2021 (JULY) - BECOMING A GLOBAL PLAYER
Now with 10+ customers, including five Tier-1 operators and 100+ clients on the waiting list, AB Handshake joins the Trusted Calls Task Force Committee of the Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA).
With CFCA membership, AB Handshake joins the ranks of companies such as Twilio, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Intrado, USTelecom and many others in fighting telecommunications fraud.
Members share between one another as much caller data as possible, actively discussing solutions and serving as a resource from which other organizations can glean protective value.
In the fourth quarter of 2021, the AB Handshake solution for SMS traffic validation will be available for trial.
AB Handshake technology is not limited to voice traffic. We've already started developing a solution for SMS traffic validation and will soon begin rolling it out.
