AB Handshake has successfully completed self-certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), including the UK Extension. This certification confirms our compliance with the principles outlined by the U.S. Department of Commerce for handling personal data transferred from the European Union and the United Kingdom to the United States.

What this means for our partners

For organizations, particularly those involved in international telecommunications, where data transfers are essential and privacy requirements are strict, our DPF self-certification provides:

  • A legal mechanism for data transfers from the EU and UK to the United States, in line with GDPR, UK GDPR
  • Reduced legal and contractual risks in data-sharing agreements
  • Demonstrated commitment to high EU standards of data protection and regulatory compliance

Our approach to privacy

AB Handshake applies six core privacy principles in its handling of personal data: lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, and integrity and confidentiality. These principles inform our internal practices and how we deliver anti-fraud services.

We process personal data based on the European approach and aim to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
