  • How are Call Detail Records (CDR) handled for analysis?

    The CDR are transferred for analysis only after a signed NDA is established between AB Handshake and the disclosing party.

    To ensure security, the call data transmission between the client and AB Handshake infrastructure is facilitated through multiple secure methods, which may include a dedicated VPN connection.

  • Is Big Data involved in the analysis process?

    Yes, the analysis process incorporates Big Data principles to handle and interpret large datasets efficiently, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of Call Detail Records for optimal insights.

  • Can I anonymize call data?

    Yes, you can anonymize A and B numbers before sending them. The preferred option for anonymization is to change the last 4 digits to letters according to the logic shown in the example below:

    Number: 1234567890
    Number (anonymized): 123456HIJA 
    Where each digit is changed to a given letter, for example:

    0->A, 1->B,2->C, 3->D, 4->E, 5->F, 6->G, 7->H, 8->I, 9->J 

    This change is the same for all A and B numbers, with only the operator aware of this mapping. AB Handshake does not have access to it.

  • How much traffic does AB Handshake need in order to achieve accuracy, and what type of CDRs are required?

    The main requirement is that the data represents a cross-section of CDRs, as opposed to a one-off or selective group of CDRs.

    The optimal time period in which CDRs cover is 2 weeks.
