Yes, you can anonymize A and B numbers before sending them. The preferred option for anonymization is to change the last 4 digits to letters according to the logic shown in the example below:
Number: 1234567890
Number (anonymized): 123456HIJA
Where each digit is changed to a given letter, for example:
0->A, 1->B,2->C, 3->D, 4->E, 5->F, 6->G, 7->H, 8->I, 9->J
This change is the same for all A and B numbers, with only the operator aware of this mapping. AB Handshake does not have access to it.
The main requirement is that the data represents a cross-section of CDRs, as opposed to a one-off or selective group of CDRs.
The optimal time period in which CDRs cover is 2 weeks.
